Fulfillment

After you authorize. What happens and when.

From the moment your authorization is received to the moment you hold written confirmation — every step explained.

How Fulfillment Works

Travelfirst facilitates. The carrier issues.

How your booking is fulfilled:

Travelfirst is a travel advisory and booking facilitation service. We are not an airline, airline representative, or direct ticket issuer. When you authorize a booking, we submit it through the applicable travel industry booking channel. The operating carrier then issues your ticket through their system.

Your contract of carriage — the legal agreement governing your air travel — is between you and the operating carrier. Travelfirst's service agreement covers the advisory, facilitation, and support services we provide.

Ticket Issuance Timeline

How long does it take?

After payment is successfully processed:

Stage Timing
Booking submission to fulfillment channel Within [X] hours of payment clearance
Carrier confirmation received Typically within [X–X] hours
Travelfirst confirmation sent to you Upon verification of ticket issuance
Total expected time (payment to confirmation) Typically within [X] hours for standard bookings

If you haven't received confirmation within 24 hours:

Contact us immediately. Do not wait. Complex or multi-carrier itineraries may take longer, but you should always hear from us within 24 hours of payment being processed.

What Your Confirmation Contains

Your written confirmation from Travelfirst includes:

  • Your Travelfirst booking reference
  • Carrier booking reference (PNR or equivalent) — verifiable directly with the airline
  • Operating carrier and flight details
  • Passenger name(s) as booked
  • Routing: dates, times, cabin class
  • Confirmation of payment received
  • Instructions for checking your booking with the carrier

Verifying Your Booking Directly With the Carrier

You can check independently. You should.

Verify independently through the carrier's own systems.

Once you receive your booking reference from Travelfirst, you can verify your reservation directly with the operating carrier — through their website, app, or customer service line. You should appear in their system as a booked passenger.

If the carrier cannot find your booking using the reference provided, contact Travelfirst immediately. Do not check in for your flight until your booking is confirmed in the carrier's system.

If Something in Your Confirmation Is Wrong

Act immediately. We resolve it.

If your written confirmation contains an error — wrong date, wrong routing, wrong traveler name, or any discrepancy from the authorized itinerary — contact us immediately.

What to do if your confirmation has an error:

Step 1: Contact us by phone or email with your booking reference.

Step 2: Identify the specific discrepancy clearly.

Step 3: Do not check in or travel on a booking with a known error.

We will investigate and work to correct the issue. Corrections are subject to carrier availability and fare conditions. Our ability to correct errors at no cost to you is greatest when identified immediately after booking.

Name errors are particularly time-sensitive. Carriers have strict policies on name corrections. Contact us immediately if the name on your confirmation does not match the traveler's travel document.

Airline-Initiated Schedule Changes

If the airline changes your schedule after ticket issuance:

Airlines occasionally modify schedules after a ticket is issued. If a significant schedule change affects your booking:

  • → Contact Travelfirst to review your options under your fare conditions
  • → You may be entitled to a free change or refund depending on the nature and extent of the change
  • → We will advise on your entitlements and help you navigate the carrier's change process

"Significant" schedule changes typically include: departure time shifts of 2+ hours, routing changes, carrier substitutions, or cancellations. Minor time adjustments (under 1 hour) are generally not eligible for free changes, though this varies by carrier policy.

Force Majeure / Extraordinary Circumstances

When disruption is beyond anyone's control:

In cases of extraordinary disruption — pandemic restrictions, government travel bans, natural disasters, war, or similar events — your refund and rebooking entitlements are primarily determined by the airline's policies and applicable government regulations.

Travelfirst will assist you in understanding your options and navigating the carrier's process. Our advisory fee is not automatically refundable in these circumstances, as the advisory and facilitation work has been performed. However, we review each case individually and may exercise discretion where the circumstances are severe.
